Equipped with Dual Path Mechanism, the fi-800R comes with Return scan for robust passport and ID card scanning, and U-turn scan enables continuous scanning for best embedded solutions.

Hardware Features

  • Scan both sides in one pass (duplex)
  • Dual Path Mechanism for both manual feeding (Return scan) and automatic document feeding (U-turn scan)
  • Multi-feed detection and Auto de-skew functions
  • 3.5 seconds per sheet with Return scan and 40 ppm/80 ipm with U-turn scan (A4 portrait, color, 200/300 dpi)
  • Scanning thick documents up to 5 mm (0.2 in.) including booklets and ID cards

Why choose RICOH fi-800R for OEM?

Save development time, integrate reliable hardware, reduce costs, use proven technologies, and eliminate points of failure. One scanner can scan nearly every document or ID required for customer processing with the most reliable name in document scanning. The powerful driver gives full control of the scanner, allow for scan, confirmation, and options for returning the document or keeping it.

Reliable processing by PaperStream IP

PaperStream IP scanner driver can automatically convert scanned images into clear images and extract data by making them OCR. It minimizes the work of document checking and data entry.

*Background pattern removal from copyright protected works is prohibited. The removal functions are intended to be used for the purpose of improving OCR accuracy, and use of the function for other purposes may be unlawful.

Minimize operational errors with automatic function

Auto-rotation, de-skew, and multi-feed detection functions ensure that even if customers make a mistake in operation, it will be handled correctly.

  1. Scanning speeds may vary due to the system environment. The values shown are the results of the evaluation under the following environment: Windows® 10/CPU: Intel® Core™ i3-10105 3.7GHz/Memory: 8GB/Storage: SSD
  2. Indicated speeds are from using JPEG compression.
  3. Indicated speeds are from using TIFF CCITT Group 4 compression.
  4. When scanning in high resolutions (500 dpi or above), scanning may be rejected depending on scanning mode, document size, memory size, and application program. Selectable maximum resolution may vary depending on the length of the scanned document.
  5. Limitations may apply to the size of documents that can be scanned, depending on system environment, when scanning at high resolution (over 600 dpi).
  6. Long page scanning is only available when using the ADF. Supports documents with lengths of up to 5,588 mm (220 in.) when resolutions are set to 200 dpi or less. For higher resolutions, supported document lengths vary.
  7. Maximum capacity depends on paper weight and may vary.
  8. Numbers are calculated using scanning speeds and typical hours of scanner use, and are not meant to guarantee daily volume or unit durability.
  9. With the ADF paper chute closed.
  10. fi Series scanners do not run with Windows® 11 and 10 ARM-based PCs.
  11. Functions equivalent to those offered by PaperStream IP may not be available with the Image Scanner Driver for macOS/Linux or WIA Driver.
  12. Refer to the fi Series Support Site for driver/software downloads and full lineup of all supported operating system versions.
